To be in love is like a one way lane. To be loved is way lane in the opposite direction.

'true love' is a proprietary term defined for our beloved kots and
prithvi...and they definitely has the rightful answer to the question:).
rest of the questions were dramatized for the discussion....if getting deeper...my take would be:
- "what is true love?"
I totally agree where only a mother's love can be so true, selfless and giving. Rest apart are filled with expectations at some point.
On the other side, there can be a love which abides by a sense of
togetherness between two people bound by similarities in their act and thought.
Trying to find the 'true love' may be naive, as we live in a world of
compromise and we cannot always get our definitive wishes come true.

To be in love and be loved are the lucky few who give selflessly and do
not expect.
I definitely believe in love, as that is what makes two people tick.
The intensity/longevity relies more on their mutual agreement and
understanding.

It is tough to say 'I love you' and it is as tough to say as with the
included responsibility and faith in saying it.

Love is prominent for it is what makes us watch "Its a wonderful life", "DDLJ", "narasimha naidu"!!!,......over and over and over...;).

To deal with expectations needs a mind with magnanimity. saying the
lovely quote "expectations give dissapointments", its appropriate to
deal with the reality of adjusting to/understanding the opposite person
and address the issues upfront, rather to pile up and be in disdain.
Its as important to keep up with their expectations making it half
easier to deal with. Alas, we cannot always wish for the other person
to respond in a way we'd like to and is more about addressing to whatz in our hands that we have control upon.
As a human, we deal with the issue of expectations as similar to our experience in dealing with situations(any).
I do believe in a loop of emotion, where negative feelings arise on a
person at some point even without a reason, and when the loop is closed
ie., with a better understanding of the person, the expectations may be
more realistic rather being idealistic.
Infact conditions apply to what was said above!. It may not be as easy
as said and is more about working things out with the best possibility.

Not a question that I would like to answer in open, and its rather

Kalyan, you dont need to be politically correct here (refering the PS). The topic here is love - and guys - considering only love for another person is like looking at the sky through a pin hole when the entire sky is ready for watching - along with its birds.
Everyone loves everyone else to some extent. If it is negative, it is called 'hate'. When you talk about love, it is an indication of how much you value you have given to that person,place,thing etc. For ex. when I say "I love my camera" - it means I value it so much that I want it to be with me. When I say I love a person, it is the value that I associate with the person. If you are refering to a partner - i am writing it in a separate thread. This is a topic of interest of far less significance and will give due respect later. Right now let me love my lovely .....(secret)
And Kalyan, you are correct in withholding the information for the question -"Did you ever fall in love?" - since everyone else knows it. As for my answer, I dont fall in love. I only rise in it.

yelloo...it all started with ur 'true love' story:)...so u can atleast have that thinking rationality that we are talking about love-love and not the love we show to dogs, cats, cameras...
First things first... I dont want to see the discussion to be more one on one and others feeling it that way. How about active participation from all the guys on board:).
Lets keep the blog more diversified and treated with equality. If at times, one of the posts get a higher traffic, that is ok. But let us stick to a global picture.
Coming to our point of discussion and not to drag it anymore, it was already stated that 'true love' is more idealistic and imaginary, so dont want to get into it again.
And talking about other species, as for this discussion we are sticking to humans, which has also been stated earlier. I dont think other species have a broader perspective for love as humans and it more of just gets down to reproduction. With all our rationality, complexity increases in the way we deal with things on our side.
...Had a fine game of cricket this morning. Weather was brilliant and so was the match. Comfy win.

"Let me be a good catholic, I will not go to a Chinese restaurant", having said these words, a colleague went to Subway for lunch. The idea is not to eat non-vegetarian food.
How does one describe non-vegetarian food. Anything that is a plant product? I have seen many people who consider eggs as vegetarian, some who consider fish as vegetarian. And some people consider milk as non-vegetarian. I once heard from someone that deer meat is considered vegetarian in some cultures.
"I personally consider nothing wrong being non-vegetarian or being vegetarian". Isn't that an open statement and subject to interpretation. But why even the classification between vegetarian and non-vegetarian. People argue that eating animals is non-vegetarian. Animals feel. My argument is "don't plants breathe and feel". I remember having a lesson titled "Plants also breathe and feel" in my science class when I was a kid. The author was some scientist who proved that plants do feel pain when something happens to them. So how are they different from animals?
I am a vegetarian and I eat egg - is a common statement one can hear many times. I am a vegetarian and I eat beaf - is another common statement. So is it taboo to be vegetarian? And more funny is the creating of new terms - eggatarian, fishatarian. Then what is humanitarian?
Whatever one wants to eat, eat it! Just do not eat my brains......

1. How do you define vegetarian food (1 point)
2. Define eggatarian (1 point)
3. Whats wrong in eating what you want to eat (1 point)
4. If I want to eat something, can I make amendments to the definition of vegetarian (1 point)
